Internationally known artist, Carol Ann Curran began her career at the early age of eleven when her talents were recognized with a painting scholarship from Monclair art Museum in New Jersey. Curran went on to attend the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art, and after graduating began working for Norcross Inc., Greeting Card Company.
Carol Ann later illustrated a newspaper column and children's stories, as well as advertising spots. Curran turned to painting professionally in 1973, often painting children in beautiful landscapes. Many of these paintings were printed and distributed throughout the country. Since 1986 her posters and prints, published by Modern Art Editions have been recognized world wide. Her Pieces have been featured in New York, Atlanta, and London in Art Expo. Curran's popular prints have been spotted on several popular television shows and decorating magazines. Her work has decorated such places as the main dining room at the Showboat Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, as well as countless other venues around the world. Curran's recent paintings depict scenery in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, as well as falls and creeks in the mountains of North Carolina.
